How do I view Guestbook messages:

  1. Navigate to the toolbar on the left and click on “Guestbook”

  2. There are three Guestbook tabs in the inbox. You can click on each one to see the messages below. The three options are:

  • “Important” messages

  • “Unread” messages

  • “All” messages

To view an individual message, simply click on it. The message will display to the right of your Guestbook inbox. You can scroll up and down to see this customer’s order history, as well as their Guestbook conversation history with you.

How do I mark a message unread in Guestbook:

  1. Navigate to the toolbar on the left and click on “Guestbook”

  2. Click on any message to view the full contents of the message thread in your Guestbook inbox

  3. If you would like to mark the message as unread, click on the “Mark unread” button at the top of the inbox. Refresh the page, and the message will appear as unread.

How do I respond to a message via Guestbook:

  1. Navigate to the toolbar on the left and click on “Guestbook”

  2. Once inside the Guestbook, navigate to the conversation that you would like to reply to and click on it. The full conversation history will appear in the inbox on the right hand side of the screen.

  3. Click on the grey text box at the bottom of the inbox. You can free type a reply into this box and hit enter on your keypad OR press the blue “up” arrow to send the message to your customer.

How do I send a gift to a user via Guestbook:

  1. Navigate to the toolbar on the left and click on “Guestbook”

  2. Navigate to the name of the user that you would like to send a gift to, and click on it to make the conversation appear

  3. Click on the button that says “choose gifts” at the bottom of the conversation inbox

  4. A pop up box will display menu items from your restaurant. Scroll until you find the item that you would like to gift to the user, and click on it

  5. The gift will appear in the text box in the conversation inbox with the user. Add a personalized message to the user in the grey text box, then hit the blue arrow to send the gift and message

How do I use Magic Respond in Guestbook:

  1. Navigate to the toolbar on the left and click on “Guestbook”

  2. Navigate to the name of the user that you would like to respond to, and click on their name to open the conversation in the inbox on the right

  3. Click on the button that says “Magic Respond” at the bottom of the inbox, and a message to the user will appear in the text box.

  4. Magic Respond uses AI to compose messages to users. Please make sure to proofread and edit the message before sending it to the user.

How can I view user profiles in Guestbook:

  1. Navigate to the toolbar on the left and click on “Guestbook”

  2. Navigate to the name of the user who’s profile that you would like to view, and click on it

  3. In the upper right hand corner, there is a button that says “profile” click on this button to expand it. Some of the useful information you can see in the profile is:

  • Total dollar amount spent at your restaurant

  • Any refunds that they have received

  • The number of points they have accrued at your restaurant

  • Their order history on an item level

You can use this information to provide context on the user and help you decide how to respond to compliments or complaints from this user in Guestbook.
