Replacement: Model A power cable

To replace the power cable for the Model A, follow the guide below

  1. Unplug the model A from the wall outlet

  2. Unscrew the monitor mount (2 screws - put these away for later use)

  3. Open the monitor mount, unplug the power cable from the monitor

  4. Unscrew the front stand cover and lay gently on the floor (4 screws - put these away for later use) (using a phillips screwdriver)

  5. Unscrew the metal plate that holds the card reader and pull it out slightly (2 screws - put these away for later use)

    Note: do not pull it out all the way unless the card reader cable is unplugged to avoid damage

  6. Pull the monitor-end of the cable down, remove the velcro straps around the power brick and unplug the power brick from the wall-outlet-end of the cable

  7. Remove the power brick from the stand

  8. Tilt the stand slightly and pull the wall-outlet-end of the cable out of the stand

    Warning: take caution when tilting the stand, tilt slowly and just enough to remove the cable

  9. Route the new cable

    1. Lift the stand slightly and pull the wall-outlet-end of the cable through the base

      Warning: take caution when tilting the stand, tilt slowly and just enough to remove the cable

    2. Attach the power brick to the stand and tighten with the velcro strips

    3. Plug the wall-outlet-end of the cable into the power brick

    4. Route the monitor-end of the cable through the monitor mount

    5. Plug into the monitor

  10. Close and screw shut the monitor mount

  11. Close the front stand cover - grab the inner metal handle, push from the top of the stand, then align the bottom with the slits and give the cover a push (you will know when it is in place once the 4 screw holes are aligned)

  12. Screw closed the front stand cover

  13. Screw closed the metal cover that holds the card reader

  14. Once the kiosk is in your preferred location, pull the power cable out from underneath the base and plug into a power outlet

    Note: Use an extension cord or power strip as needed

Your replacement should now be complete!
