Upgrade the firmware on SnackOS 2.0 tablet

Upgrading your tablet allows us to run the newest Snackpass software on the device. If your device prompts an upgrade, please do so at your earliest convenience

Important Note

The current up-to-date tablet version is 1.0.8.36_GMS_260116. This may require 2-3 firmware upgrades until the tablet is fully updated


Instructions

Step 1

  • While in the SnackOS app, pull down on the left side of the screen to open the notification menu

  • Click on the Manage button - this will take you to the tablet's settings


Step 2

  • Navigate to About Device


Step 3

  • Click on the firmware update page - there are 2 screen versions depending on the current tablet firmware

  • Version 1 - click on system update

  • Version 2 - click on iMin US 3.0


Step 4

  • Select Check for updates


Step 5

  • Click Download

  • Stay on this page until the download completes


Step 6

  • Select Install now - The install will take roughly 30-60 minutes per tablet but it may take longer depending on the WiFi strength and number of device on the network. The battery must be at least 30% charged.

    • It is best to leave the device charging throughout the whole upgrade process.

    • Do not power off the device during the installation


Step 7

  • You may now navigate back to the SnackOS app while the firmware installs (roughly 30-60 minutes) in the background by clicking on the circle on the bottom of the screen


Step 8

  • Once the install is complete, navigate back to the firmware upgrade page by following steps 1-3 above


Step 9

  • Click on the Restart Immediately button and your tablet will reboot


Step 10

Repeat firmware upgrades until firmware version is up-to-date (Current Version: 1.0.8.36_GMS_260116)
