Replacement: Models A & B monitor

To replace the main monitor on the Model A & B, follow the guide below

Updated over a week ago

  1. Unplug the kiosk from the wall outlet

  2. Unscrew the monitor mount (2 screws - put these away for later use)

  3. Open the monitor mount and unplug all the cables from the monitor - Card reader cable, power cable & ethernet cable

Note: the ethernet cable will not be connected if the original monitor was connected over WiFi

  4. Remove the bottom screws where the monitor meets the monitor mount (2 screws - put these away for later use) and loosen (But do not remove!) the 2 top screws. Lift the monitor off of the monitor mount (lift up and then out)

  5. Remove the remaining top screws from the original monitor (2 screws - put these away for later use)

  6. Partially screw 2 type A screws into the back of the monitor, place the monitor onto the monitor mount then fasten with 2 more type A screws at the bottom of where the monitor meets the monitor mount. Tighten all screws (using a phillips screwdriver)

  7. Take the power cable, the USB-A cable (card reader) and the ethernet cable and pass them through an opening on the metal bracket

  8. Plug the cables into the back of the monitor

Note: Snackpass recommends using an ethernet internet connection. If you plan to use WiFi, this cable is not needed and can be placed back into the stand

  9. Close the monitor mount and use 2 screws to secure the mount

  10. Once the kiosk is in your preferred location, pull the power cable out from underneath the base and plug into a power outlet

Note: Use an extension cord or power strip as needed

  11. The kiosk will power on

    1. Wait up to 1 minute for the device to power on - if it does not power on, press the power button on the back of the monitor

    2. if it still does not power on, check the connections at the monitor and at the outlet (or power strip/extension cord) then try the power button again

  12. Connect to the internet

    • The preferred connection method is an ethernet connection but WiFi will work as well

  13. To register the device to your store, follow this guide

  14. Tidy up the cabling so that it will not get caught or snagged and is as hidden/neat as possible

Your replacement is complete!
