Front Of House Configurations

Customize your Snackpass settings for optimal front-of-house operations.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

On your Snackpass dashboard you have the power to customize all the important settings for your front-of-house operations. From branding to tipping rules, and everything in between, you can fine-tune how your restaurant interacts with customers both online and in-store. Just head over to Settings > Front of House, and let's dive into each of the options you can configure:

Brand & Appearance

This is where you can make your restaurant's branding pop! Here's what you can customize:

  • Brand Color: Choose a color for buttons on your kiosk and your punchcard in the Snackpass app.

  • Logo: Upload your restaurant's logo, which will show up on the Snackpass app, your kiosk, and your online ordering page.

  • Bio: Write a short description of your store, so customers can get to know your vibe.

  • Emoji: Pick an emoji that represents your food. It’ll appear next to your store in the Snackpass app.

  • Cover Photo: Add a photo that will show up at the top of your Snackpass app and your online ordering page. It can also be used for digital gift cards.

  • Digital Receipt Image: Upload an image to appear on your customers’ digital receipts.

  • Kiosk Splash Screen: Upload a video to play when your kiosk is idle. You can also add a "Tap To Order" text overlay. (Recommended formats: 1920x1920 for all displays, 1920x1080 for horizontal-only displays, and 1080x1920 for vertical-only displays.)

  • Register Splash Screen: Just like the kiosk splash screen, upload a video or image here for your register screen (1920x1080, 30MB or less).

  • Username: This is the name that will appear in your online ordering URL. For example, if you use southparkbistro, your link would be www.order.snackpass.co/southparkbistro.

  • Corporate Settings: If you're part of a chain, enable Corporate Map to show all your locations on the online ordering page.

Tipping

Under Settings > Front of House > Tipping, you can set your tipping rules. Here's what you can do:

  • Rules: Decide if you’ll allow tips, and choose whether to offer percentage or flat-rate options. You can also include an option for no tip.

  • Preset Amounts: Based on your tip type, set preset amounts. You can also choose a Default Tip, which will be selected automatically for customers.

  • Tip Screen Customization: Upload an image and include a custom message that will appear on the tipping screen at your kiosks and registers.

All Orders

This section lets you set rules that apply to all ordering channels: mobile, online, kiosk, and register.

  • Smart Receipt: Configure your customer message and include an external review URL.

  • Cart: Enable or disable custom notes, automatically add bags to all purchases, set a bag fee, and choose whether to add a tax fee for the bag.

Online Orders

These settings only apply to Snackpass app and online orders:

  • Pickup: Enable pickup for your customers and provide instructions. You can also set a minimum pickup amount and let customers order ASAP.

  • Dine-In: Decide if you’ll offer dine-in orders and allow customers to select tables during checkout.

  • Menu: Add a store message at the top of your menu page. You can also hide or show the “Popular Items” section.

  • Scheduled Ahead: Set rules for scheduled ahead orders, like minimum time, POS fire time, and max orders per time slot.

  • Delivery: Once you reach out to Snackpass support, you can enable first-party or third-party delivery. Set delivery cart minimums and special hours.

  • Wait Time: Configure the wait time customers will see, using a lower and upper bound. For example, 10-25 minutes.

Kiosk & Register

These settings apply to in-store orders placed on kiosks or registers:

  • Pickup: Enable pickup and provide instructions for where customers should pick up their orders, like at the counter.

  • Dine-In: Decide if you'll offer dine-in at your store and enable table selection during checkout. (Don’t forget to update your menu editor for dine-in items!)

  • Rewards: Manage your reward system! Set up a rewards banner for kiosks, enable rewards at registers, and block certain phone numbers from collecting points.

  • Kiosk Only: For kiosks, you can enable or disable the “Popular” category and choose the look of your kiosk menu.

  • Register Only: Configure options for manually entered third-party orders on the register.
