Boost sales and engagement with limited-time deals, discounts, and special offers on Snackpass.

Snackpass provides you with a powerful promotional tool designed to increase sales and engage your customers.

To get started, log in to your dashboard using your Snackpass credentials. In the left-hand menu, navigate to MARKETING and select PROMOTIONS.

On this page, you'll find an overview of your existing promotions (if any), along with a + CREATE PROMOTION button at the top right.



Clicking this button will open a list of available promotion types. Simply select the promotion type you'd like to create, and a form will appear to guide you through the process. We'll walk you through each promotion type in the following sections.

Promotion Types

Start From Scratch

This promotion type lets you create a custom offer on Snackpass, giving you the flexibility to experiment with various configurations—excluding the REQUIRE PURCHASE option.

Details

  • Name: This field is pre-filled but can be edited. It will appear on your menu and customer receipts.

  • Promo Image: Upload an image to represent your promotion and attract customers. The minimum size is 400x400 pixels.

Discount

In this section, you’ll choose how the discount applies to the items. You can select a percentage off, a fixed amount off, a new price for the item, or a free item. For the first three options, an Amount field will appear where you can enter the percentage, dollar amount, or new price. The Amount field won't appear for the Free Item option, as the item will be $0 or 100%.

Discounted Items

After selecting how the items will be discounted, it's time to choose which items get the discount.

  • Qualifying Items:
    You have two options here:

    • Any Item: Applies the discount to your entire menu.

    • Specific Items and Categories: Choose specific categories or items by checking the box next to them.

  • Apply Discount To Add-Ons:
    This toggle lets you decide whether to include add-ons or modifiers in the discount. If off, the discount only applies to the item price. If on, add-ons with the item will also receive the discount.

Conditions

Conditions for this promotion are optional, but they can help customize your offer

  • Limit Order Size:
    Set a minimum and maximum order price to limit the promotion to purchases within a specific price range.

  • One Per Cart:
    Toggle this on to allow customers to use the promotion only once per order.

  • Audience (App Only):
    Limit the promotion to first-time customers or students, exclusively for users of the Snackpass app.

  • Single Use (App & Online Ordering Only):
    If toggled on, app and online ordering customers can only use the promotion once. If they've already used it, they won't be able to apply it to another order.

  • Limit Total Uses:
    Set a cap on the total number of times the promotion can be used, such as 100 uses.

Schedule And Duration

In this section, you can set a schedule or duration for your custom promo.

  • Schedule:
    Toggle this on to set specific days and times for the promotion to apply. For example, Monday and Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The promotion will only be available during these days and hours.

  • Duration:
    Toggle this on to limit the promotion to a specific time range, perfect for holiday offers. You’ll need to set a start date and time, as well as an end date and time. After this period ends, the promotion will no longer be available.

Availability

In this section, you can select the platforms and fulfillment methods where the promo will be available.

  • Platforms:
    Click the check circle next to the options you want to include:

    • Only show on Snackpass App and Online Ordering

    • Show on Snackpass App and Kiosk

    • Only show on Snackpass Register

    • Show on Snackpass App, Online Ordering, Kiosk, and Register

  • Fulfillment Methods:
    Check the circle next to the options you want to enable:

    • Pick up, dine-in, and deliveries placed via Snackpass

    • Only pick up and dine-in

    • Only deliveries placed via Snackpass

Once you've configured all options, click the Submit button in the bottom right corner to save your promotion.

Buy One, Get One

BOGO (Buy One, Get One) promotions are a powerful tool to boost customer engagement while offering discounts on qualifying purchases.

When you choose this promotion type, a form will automatically generate with some pre-filled information. Don't worry—everything is fully customizable to meet your specific requirements. Let's walk through each section together:

Details

  • Name: This field is pre-filled but can be edited. It will appear on your menu and customer receipts.

  • Promo Image: Upload an image to represent your promotion and attract customers. The minimum size is 400x400 pixels.

Discount

In this section, you’ll choose how the discount applies to the items. You can select a percentage off, a fixed amount off, a new price for the item, or a free item. For the first three options, an Amount field will appear where you can enter the percentage, dollar amount, or new price. The Amount field won't appear for the Free Item option, as the item will be $0 or 100%.

Require Purchase

For BOGO (Buy One, Get One) promotions, this field is required since customers must purchase one full-price item for the promotion to apply.

  • Qualifying Items:
    You have two options:

    • Any Item: Any item on your menu can be purchased to qualify for the promotion.

    • Specific Items and Categories: Select specific items or categories by checking the box next to them.

  • Item Label:
    This is the name displayed for the required item section on your platforms. We suggest using something like "REQUIRED PURCHASE."

Conditions for this promotion are optional, but they can help customize your BOGO offer

  • Limit Order Size:
    Set a minimum and maximum order price to limit the promotion to purchases within a specific price range.

  • One Per Cart:
    Toggle this on to allow customers to use the promotion only once per order.

Note: BOGO promotions are NOT SUPPORTED in Register mode, so even if you select that platform, the promotion won’t work there.

Happy Hour

Happy hour promotions helps you boost your sales during slower times of the day with a recurring discount.

Details

  • Name: This field is pre-filled but can be edited. It will appear on your menu and customer receipts.

  • Promo Image: Upload an image to represent your promotion and attract customers. The minimum size is 400x400 pixels.

In this section, you’ll choose how the discount applies to the items. You can select a percentage off, a fixed amount off, a new price for the item, or a free item. Conditions for this promotion are optional, but they can help customize your Happy Hour offer

  • Limit Order Size:
    Set a minimum and maximum order price to limit the promotion to purchases within a specific price range.

  • One Per Cart:
    Toggle this on to allow customers to use the promotion only once per order.

  • Audience (App Only):
    Limit the promotion to first-time customers or students, exclusively for users of the Snackpass app.

  • Single Use (App & Online Ordering Only):
    If toggled on, app and online ordering customers can only use the promotion once. If they've already used it, they won't be able to apply it to another order.

  • Limit Total Uses:
    Set a cap on the total number of times the promotion can be used, such as 100 uses.

This section is crucial for Happy Hour promos, as they are meant to be limited to specific times of the day.

  • Schedule:
    Toggle this on to set specific days and times for the promotion to apply. For example, Monday and Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The promotion will only be available during these days and hours.

  • Duration:
    Toggle this on to limit the promotion to a specific time range, perfect for holiday offers. You’ll need to set a start date and time, as well as an end date and time. After this period ends, the promotion will no longer be available.

Promo Code

With promo code type of promotions, you can create a discount code to share on your social media or for marketing materials.

Details

  • Name: This field is pre-filled but can be edited. It will appear on your menu and customer receipts.

  • Redeem With Promo Code: Toggle this on for the promo code to work correctly.

  • Promo Code: Enter the promo code here that customers must use to get the discount (e.g., xmas2025). Note: Promo Codes can only include letters, numbers, and hyphens.

This promotion is great for attracting new business and turning curious guests into customers. It only works for Snackpass app users.

This promotion is great for driving sales by offering limited-time deals with maximum usage limits.

    Toggle this on to set specific days and times for the promotion to apply. For example, Monday and Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The promotion will only be available during these days and hours.

  • Duration:
    Toggle this on to limit the promotion to a specific time range, perfect for holiday offers. You’ll need to set a start date and time, as well as an end date and time. After this period ends, the promotion will no longer be available.

Punchcard Reward

This promo helps increase customer retention by offering a loyalty points program. Customers earn points with each purchase, which they can later redeem for punchcard rewards.

Student Promo

Similar to the first-time customer promo, this promotion is ideal for attracting new business and converting curious guests into customers. It's only available for Snackpass app users and verifies students through their email domain.

Gift Card Promotions

Gift card promotions let you offer discounts on both digital and physical gift cards to boost sales.

Details

  • Name:
    This field is pre-filled but can be edited. It will appear on your menu and customer receipts.

  • Promo Image:
    Upload an image to represent your promotion and attract customers. The minimum size is 400x400 pixels.

Discount

In this section, you'll set how the discount applies.

  • Discount Type:
    Choose either a percentage off or a fixed amount off.

  • Minimum Load:
    Enter the minimum gift card value required to activate the promotion.

  • Maximum Discount:
    Set the maximum discount this promotion can offer.

Once you've configured all options, click the Submit button in the bottom right corner to save your promotion.

It's important to note that customers can apply multiple promotions to their orders if they're eligible. For example, they can use a 10% off promo and a free drink reward in the same order.

Promotions Management

You can easily manage all your promotions directly from the dashboard by navigating to MARKETING > PROMOTIONS. Here, you'll find a list of all your created promotions with several actions available to help you manage them:

  • Editing Promotions
    In your promo list, the first column features three buttons. The first button, represented by a pencil icon, allows you to edit any existing promotion. Simply click the pencil to make changes to your promotion as needed.

  • Duplicating Promotions
    The second button is the Duplicate Promo button. If you’d like to use a past promotion as a template, just click this button. It will open the promotion editor, where you can adjust and duplicate the promo for future use.

  • Promotions Performance
    The third button provides access to a performance report for the selected promotion. This includes key metrics like the number of uses, gross sales, discounts, net sales, and more. You can also view this report by going to DATA > MORE REPORTS > PROMOTIONS. Visit our Promotions Performance article for more information.

  • Enabling/Disabling Promotions
    The final column contains a toggle switch. If you want to start or stop a promotion, simply toggle it on or off. Note that newly created promotions are ON by default.

This section gives you full control over your promotions, from editing to tracking performance and adjusting availability.
