Installation: Model B setup guide

Install and setup the model B kiosk following this process

  1. Place the base on the counter (preferably in the location the kiosk will be placed)

  2. Add 2x type A screws and leave a ⅛” gap between the screw and base

  3. Align slots on bottom rear of Head with the screws on the base and slide on stand. Add 4x type B screws. Tighten all screws

  4. Partially screw 2x type A screws into the stand and then place the monitor mount onto the stand, fasten with 2 more type A screws at the bottom of where the monitor mount meets the stand. Tighten all screws (using a phillips screwdriver)

  5. Partially screw 2 type A screws into the back of the monitor, place the monitor onto the monitor mount then fasten with 2 more type A screws at the bottom of where the monitor meets the monitor mount Tighten all screws (using a phillips screwdriver)

  6. Gently pull the power cable, the USB-A cable (card reader) and the ethernet cable out of the stand. You will need to push the cable through an opening on the metal bracket.

  7. Plug the cables into the back of the monitor.

    Note: Snackpass recommends using an ethernet internet connection. If you plan to use WiFi, this cable is not needed and can be placed back into the stand

  8. Close the monitor mount and use 2 screws to secure the mount

  9. Connect the card reader to the USB power cable and snap it into the card reader mount

    Note: please make sure that the cable is securely plugged into the card reader

  10. Place the kiosk where you would like it to be in your store

    Warning: When moving the kiosk, lift from the stand, NOT the monitor - lifting from the monitor can permanently damage the electronics

  11. Once the kiosk is in the preferred location, pull the power cable out from underneath the base and plug into a power outlet

    Note: Use an extension cord or power strip as needed

  12. The kiosk will power on

    1. Wait up to 1 minute for the device to power on - if it does not power on, press the power button on the back of the monitor

    2. if it still does not power on, check the connections at the monitor and at the outlet (or power strip/extension cord) then try the power button again

  13. Connect to the internet

    • The preferred connection method is an ethernet connection but WiFi will work as well

  14. To register the device to your store, follow this guide

  15. Tidy up the cabling so that it will not get caught or snagged and is as hidden/neat as possible

Your setup should now be complete! Run a test order and see what that kiosk can do!
