    1. To remove the rear & bottom covers, start by placing your fingers in the opening located at back/bottom of the printer and pull away from the printer

      1. Note:For all models, do not pull too hard to avoid damage to the printer; very little force is needed to remove the plate.

      2. Additionally, you may need to free the cable channel by simply bending & removing the pre-cut tab(s). Do not throw this piece away as it can be re-installed.

  4. With the back plate(s) removed, plug the power cord into the printer

    1. For proper alignment: Have the flat face at the end of the power cord facing outward with the arrow pointing towards the power port. If connecting to the internet through an ethernet connection, insert the ethernet cable at this time.

Important Notice: Our support team can assist you with WiFi setup & troubleshooting for Epson TM-m30-III printers only after you have followed this guide. We prioritize Ethernet connections for optimal performance.

Station Printers (Chit) - Self-setup via WiFi is allowed, support is limited.

Please refer to our guide for WiFi self-setup in kitchen stations. For full support, use Ethernet.

5. Plug the opposite end of the power cord into a power outlet

Note: Use an extension cord or power strip as needed

6. After connecting the printer to the outlet, if the LED panel on the printer lights up, the printer is on.

  • If the LED panel does not light up, press the power button on the printer

  1. For a cash drawer installation: follow this guide

  2. Follow the directions below, place the backing plates back onto the printer.

  1. Getting the SimpleAP Start Printout

    1. First, turn the printer on by pressing the power button. Wait for a moment while it powers up. The printer will automatically print a SimpleAP Start page. This page contains critical information including a QR code and the “SSID” (Network Name) for the printers onboard network.

Note: If a USB or Ethernet cable is connected to the printer, the SimpleAP Start page will not automatically print.

  2. Scan the QR Code on the SimpleAP Start Page

    1. Next, open the camera app on your smartphone or tablet. Point the camera at the QR code on the SimpleAP Start page. A notification should appear on your phone prompting you to join the network shown in the “SSID” section of the SimpleAP Start page. Tap the notification and accept the request to join the network.
