Introducing Automatic Payouts

Snackpass has upgraded to an automatic payout system. This article provides an overview of what changed, how the new system works, and where to find the information you need.

Automatic Payouts

What Changed

Previously, payouts were processed manually on a fixed schedule. With automatic payouts, your funds are now paid out automatically as soon as your transactions settle, no manual processing required.

Here's a summary of the key changes:

  • Payouts Are Now Automatic. Once your transactions settle, your payout is triggered automatically. You no longer need to wait for manual processing.

  • Payouts Are Based On Settlement Timing, Not Calendar Days. A payout covers whichever funds have settled during a given period, which means it may include transactions from different dates.

  • Expedited Payouts Are No Longer Available. As part of this upgrade, the expedited payout option has been discontinued.

  • A Final Manual Payout Is Issued At The Time Of Transition. When your account was switched to automatic payouts, a final manual payout is generated to cover any outstanding balance before transition.

How It Works

When a customer pays, their funds don't arrive in your bank account instantly. There are two steps:

1. Settlement
After a transaction is completed, the funds go through a verification process before they become available. This is called settlement. Settlement timing varies depending on the payment method, weekends, holidays, and bank processing timelines.

2. Payout
Once funds have settled and are available, Snackpass automatically initiates a payout and transfers those funds to your bank account via ACH.

Customer pays → funds are pending → funds settle (become available) → funds are paid out to your bank

In most cases, funds arrive approximately 2 business days after the transaction date (T+2). For example, Monday sales typically deposit on Wednesday. Actual timing may vary depending on your bank and settlement timelines.

Your Payout Schedule

Snackpass offers two payout schedule options: Daily and Weekly.

  • With Daily payouts, a payout is triggered approximately every 24 hours and includes whichever funds have settled during that period. Exact timing may vary slightly.

  • With Weekly payouts, your funds are consolidated into one payout per week. You can choose your preferred payout day.

Weekend transactions are grouped together and initiated on Sunday evening, though processing may extend later depending on settlement and banking timelines. If Sunday falls on a bank holiday, the payout will be initiated on the next business day.

Payout Timing By Timezone

Because payouts are based on settlement windows rather than calendar days, the cutoff time for each payout period varies depending on your timezone. The Payout Timeline shows you exactly when each payout period closes and when your payout is expected to be initiated.

Tracking Your Payouts

You can view all of your payout history, track deposit status, and download detailed transaction reports from your partner dashboard under Data > Sales > Payouts.

Each payout entry shows:

  • The Payout Period: The settlement window covered by that payout

  • The Payout Initiated date: When the funds left Snackpass

  • The Estimated Arrival date: When funds are expected to land in your bank

  • The Status: Initiated, In Transit, or Paid

  • A downloadable Full Payout Report with a complete transaction breakdown

Reconciling Your Payouts

The Payout Reconciliation Report gives you a clear view of how your sales for a selected period translate into an expected payout, and where those funds currently stand.

It includes:

  • A Payout Calculation showing how Total Collected becomes Expected Payout after deductions

  • A Settlement Status showing how much has been Paid Out vs. Pending Settlement

  • A Payout Breakdown showing which specific payouts cover your selected period

Paid Out + Pending Settlement = Expected Payout

Why Your Sales Report May Not Match Your Payout

This is one of the most common questions with the new system, and it is expected. Your Sales Report covers fixed 24-hour periods, while automatic payouts are triggered based on settlement timing, which doesn't always align to a clean calendar day. Because of this, the two reports may not match.

Your Sales Report is still useful for tracking overall sales trends. For payout reconciliation specifically, rely on your Payout History and the Payout Reconciliation reports.
