KDS mini (Lenovo M10 tablet) - 10”

  1. Unbox the tablet

  2. Turn the power on using the power button

  3. Connect to the internet

Note: The 10” KDS model does not support an ethernet connection, the device must be connected over WiFi

  4. Connect the charging cable

Note: use a power strip or extension cord as needed

    1. Lenovo tablets have a battery protection mode that is sometimes toggled on. This will prevent the charging to exceed 60% and will stop showing the device as charging. The purpose is to prevent battery degradation (If desired, to toggle this off, go to the tablet settings)

Warning: if the tablet is unplugged for extended periods of time, the device will lose power - Snackpass recommends that the device is left on the wall and plugged in at all times to avoid any device downtime or damage

  5. To register the device to your store, follow this guide

  6. Find a location for the KDS

Warning: Avoid locations near hot surfaces & locations that will come in contact with moisture

  7. Follow the below instructions to mount the KDS on the countertop stand:

    1. Place the tablet on the countertop stand provided

    2. Tidy up the cabling so that it will not get caught or snagged and is as hidden/neat as possible

  8. Follow the below instructions to mount the KDS with velcro:

    1. Wipe clean the wall surface for the desired location

      1. Make sure the wall surface is free of debris, moisture and sticky substances

    2. Take the velcro strip and remove the paper backings - place on the wall as shown below and press firmly on the velcro strip for 30 seconds

    3. Remove the paper backings on the other side of the velcro strip and place on the rear of the tablet - press firmly on the velcro strip for 30 seconds

    4. Velcro the tablet to the wall - press on the sides of the black edges of the tablet, not on the screen itself as that could damage the electronics

Note 1: it is important to make sure that the tablet is firmly on the wall before removing your hands

Note 2: The location to apply pressure is important to avoid damage to the tablet

Note 3: Pressing firmly is crucial to making a good bond for the adhesive but avoid pressing too hard as to not damage the tablet

  9. Tidy up the cabling so that it will not get caught or snagged and is as hidden/neat as possible

Your setup should now be complete! Run a test order and see what that KDS can do!
