On your Snackpass Dashboard, you can easily access your sales reports, tips, and other important transactions. You can view your sales data broken down by day, month, or year—whichever works best for you!
In this guide, we'll show you how to understand your sales reports and how to make the most of the data. To get started, head to your dashboard, then go to Data > Sales > Reports.
Once you're there, you'll see your sales report and can adjust different settings depending on what info you want to see. Let's break it down:
Filters At The Top Screen
You can easily customize what you see by using the filters at the top of the report. Here's what you can adjust:
Date: By default, the date filter is set to the last 7 days, but you can change this to different options like the last 30 days, 365 days, a specific day, or a custom date range. Once you make your choice, the report will update instantly!
Channel: If you want to see sales from specific channels, like the kiosk, register, app, online orders, or if you're integrated with Deliverect, you can select those here.
Fulfillment: This filter lets you choose between pickup, delivery, or dine-in orders, so you can focus on the sales that matter to you.
Payment: With this filter, you can narrow down your sales by how they were paid—whether it was by card, cash, or even unpaid orders. If you're integrated with Deliverect, you can also filter by third-party orders.
Provider: Here, you can filter sales based on the provider, like Snackpass, DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc. If you're not using Deliverect, only Snackpass will be listed.
Custom Hours: Define specific hours to filter and view report data within your selected time range.
Understanding Your Sales Summary
Once you've set your filters, your sales summary will show all the important info for the time period you selected. Here’s a quick breakdown:
Sales
Orders: This is the total number of orders you’ve sold during the selected period.
Gross Sales: Your total sales amount before any discounts, refunds, or adjustments.
Refunds: The total amount of refunds given to customers.
Discounts: The total value of discounts and complimentary items, like gifts through Guestbook or rewards.
Net Sales: Your gross sales minus any refunds and discounts.
Taxes: These are the taxes you’re responsible for paying to the state (not including third-party taxes).
Third Party Taxes: These are taxes from third-party orders, for reporting purposes only (not Snackpass taxes).
Tips: Total tips from your customers, including both Snackpass and third-party tips. Use the filters if you want to exclude third-party tips from the report.
Total Sales: This is your Net Sales plus the tips and taxes collected.
Payments
Total Collected: This is your net sales plus tips and taxes. Here’s how it’s broken down:
Card: Payments received via credit or debit cards.
Cash: The cash you should have accepted for sales during this period.
Gift Card Redemption: The value of gift cards redeemed by customers.
Store Credit Redemption: The amount of store credit given to customers.
Processing Fees: This is the amount of store credit given to customers.
Snackpass Fees: The fees charged by Snackpass, like commission, fax, and delivery fees.
Net Collected: This is your total collected amount after processing fees and Snackpass fees are subtracted.
Sales Categorization
Your Sales Summary provides a detailed overview, with sales categorized into three key areas:
Category Sales:
View the performance of different product categories. This will display the count of items sold within each category during the selected time period, along with the total revenue generated.
Item Sales:
Get insights into the individual items that sold the most. You'll see the number of units sold and the corresponding revenue they generated.
Provider Sales:
Analyze the sales performance by provider. This section shows the total sales volume and revenue for each provider during the chosen time frame.
These categorizations help you track and assess which products, categories, and providers are driving the most sales in your business.
Sales Table
At the bottom of this page, you'll find the Sales Table, which displays your sales data on a daily basis. The table provides a detailed breakdown of all your sales transactions and cannot be adjusted for any other level of granularity; it will always show sales day by day.
This table consolidates all the information from the Sales and Payments sections, offering you a comprehensive view of your sales activity.
To tailor the table to your needs, you can use the Filters button to hide any columns that may not be relevant to your current analysis.
Additionally, there's an EXPORT button in the top right corner, allowing you to download the data as a .CSV spreadsheet file for use outside the Snackpass dashboard.
