Menu Reports

Analyze menu performance with Items and Categories Reports to see your top-selling products and categories.

Updated this week

Snackpass provides two reports that help you analyze the performance of your menu items and categories: Items Report and Categories Report. Both reports allow you to track the most sold or popular items and categories in your store.

To access these reports:

  1. Go to your Snackpass dashboard.

  2. In the left-side menu, click on DATA > MORE REPORTS > MENU.

Once you open the MENU tab, two options will appear:

  • Items

  • Categories

Now, let's go through both reports one by one!

Items Report

The Items Report shows you the data for your menu item sales. This data is updated approximately every 15 minutes, so keep that in mind when analyzing the information.

Filters At The Top

You can customize your view by adjusting the following filters:

  • Date: Choose the date range for your data.

  • Granularity: Decide if you want the data to be displayed daily, weekly, or monthly.

  • Channel: Select the channel (e.g., kiosk, app, online ordering, integrations).

  • Provider: Choose the sales provider if you're using integrations (e.g., Deliverect).

  • Fulfillment: Filter by the type of fulfillment (pickup, delivery, dine-in).

  • Custom Hours: Define specific hours to filter and view report data within your selected time range.

After configuring your filters, a graph will appear below. The graph illustrates your top items based on Net Sales or Orders. You can switch between these two metrics by clicking the chart type button in the top-right corner.

Item Performance Table

Below the graph, you'll see the Item Performance Table, which provides the following columns:

  • #: The ranking based on sales (in descending order).

  • Item: The name of the menu item.

  • Category: The category the item belongs to.

  • Count: The number of times the item was purchased during the selected time period.

  • Net Sales: The total revenue generated from this item (excluding cart adjustments and fees).

You can download the data by clicking the EXPORT button in the top-right corner of the table.

Categories Report

The Categories Report functions similarly to the Items Report, but it focuses on the performance of your menu categories rather than individual items.

Filters At The Top

Just like the Items Report, the Categories Report offers the same filters:

  • Date: Select the time period for your data.

  • Granularity: Choose the level of data detail (daily, weekly, or monthly).

  • Channel: Filter by the sales channel (kiosk, app, online ordering, integrations).

  • Provider: Choose the sales provider, if using integrations.

  • Fulfillment: Filter by fulfillment type (pickup, delivery, dine-in).

  • Custom Hours: Define specific hours to filter and view report data within your selected time range.

Once your filters are set, the graph will display data for the top categories based on either Net Sales or Orders. You can toggle between the two by clicking the chart type button at the top-right corner.

Category Performance Table

Below the graph, you’ll find the Category Performance Table with the following columns:

  • #: The ranking of categories (in descending order).

  • Category: The name of the category.

  • Orders: The total number of orders for items in this category.

  • Net Sales: The revenue generated from the sales of items within this category (excluding cart adjustments and fees).

Like the Items Report, you can export this data by clicking the EXPORT button in the top-right corner of the table.

The Items Report focuses on individual menu item performance, showing data on sales and orders for each item. The Categories Report highlights the performance of menu categories, displaying data for all items within a category. Both reports allow you to filter the data by date, granularity (daily, weekly, or monthly), channel, provider, and fulfillment type. The reports provide both graphical and tabular views, with rankings in descending order. You can easily export the data in CSV format for further analysis.
