Deliverect - Delivery Integration

Comprehensive guide on our third party delivery integration via Deliverect

Updated this week

[IMPORTANT] If you are having issues with your delivery integration, please contact our support team so they can assist you with your problem. For any issues that we are unable to resolve, we will contact Deliverect on your behalf to provide a resolution.

Regardless of whether you've integrated with Deliverect yet, it's crucial that you review the MANDATORY GUARDRAILS for this integration. Please ensure you understand these guardrails before proceeding.

General Overview

Deliverect is a delivery integration company that Snackpass has partnered with to provide smooth and stable third-party delivery integration into our POS. This means that your delivery orders (such as Ubereats, Doordash and other platforms) can be sent to our orderhub tablet, print out from our receipt and label printers, display on our kitchen display screens (KDS), and have their sales data shown on our Snackpass Partner Dashboard.

Not only that, having all of your third party delivery platforms integrated with us using Deliverect also means that you can change menu prices, and inventory status of products all in one place!

So, with delivery integration, say goodbye to:

  • Handwriting all your delivery delivery orders

  • Having an army of tablets on your already crammed kitchen counter

  • Managing multiple delivery tablets every time you want to make the same menu and store setting changes across the board

  • Having to manually consolidate sales data across all your delivery platforms + in store orders

If you are interested in learning more about Deliverect, you can continue reading the rest of the article first, then access your dashboard to request the integration, and we will take care of the rest.

Current Platforms Supported

We currently are able to provide comprehensive integrations with almost all major U.S. delivery platforms:

  • Uber Eats

  • Doordash

  • Grubhub

  • Fantuan

  • Hungry Panda

  • PopMenu

Onboarding Process

These are the steps needed for your integration to be requested.

  • Log into your dashboard and navigate to the left side menu to Growth > Business Tools > Integrations.

  • When you click on the Integrations tab, read the terms of service and check mark the box at the bottom, and then click on the black button that reads +New Integration.

  • After you click on it, you will be asked to enter your contact info, and select the platforms that you wish to integrate.

  • When selecting platforms for integration, you'll need to provide their respective links. If you don't have the link for your third-party platform, please reach out to our support team at [email protected] or call 866-868-2146. Make sure to include your third-party platform UUID in your communication. For instructions on locating your third-party platform UUID, please refer to the section "How do I find my third-party platform UUID?"

  • Read the terms of service at the bottom, check the box, and send the request.

We will then receive your request and our team will start working on it. We will take your Snackpass menu as the template, and make any requested price or item adjustments. Your menu will be constantly synced with your Snackpass menu for automatic updates of products when you do them on the Snackpass POS. Your Deliverect menu is then published to the delivery platforms, and Deliverect works with the delivery platforms to activate the delivery channels to get it live.

New integrations are sent to Deliverect in batches on a weekly basis. They usually take a week, but it can sometimes take up to 2-3 weeks based on the complexity of the store setup, platform or communication between Deliverect and the delivery platforms, holidays, etc. Our sales team will be in contact with you to let you know the status of your integration setup and the expected live date. Here is a general timeline:

  • New integration requests are sent by Snackpass to Deliverect on Thursday

  • The new integration is turned live the following Wednesday.

How do I find my third party platform UUID?

Managing Your Third-Party Menu on Snackpass

To keep your third-party delivery platforms in sync with your Snackpass dashboard, follow these steps for any menu adjustments:

  1. Access Your Third-Party Menu:

    • Log in to your Snackpass dashboard.

    • Navigate to STORE > MENU > THIRD PARTY from the left-side menu.

    • Click on the assigned menu name shown under MENUS or click on the pencil icon to its right to view and edit your third-party delivery menu.

  2. Editing Your Third-Party Menu:

    • Click on EDIT ITEMS to see a list of your menu items with checkboxes.

    • Checkboxes in black indicate that these items or categories are enabled for third-party platforms.

    • To disable specific items or categories, uncheck the relevant boxes and click SAVE.

  3. Configuring Third-Party Settings:

    • In the Menu - Third Party section, select your menu and click on MENU SETTINGS.

    • Here, you can adjust various settings:

      • Name: This label is for your Snackpass dashboard and does not affect third-party displays.

      • Type: Standard is the default setting.

      • Platform: Ensure Third Party is selected to apply these settings to delivery platforms.

      • Time: Set store hours specifically for third-party platforms. Note that these hours do not affect your Snackpass platform.

      • Additional Options:

        • Default Price Adjustments: Apply markups or markdowns to your items and modifiers as needed for third-party pricing.

        • Reset Prices to Default: Reverts any individual price changes but does not affect Default Price Adjustments.

  4. Apply Changes:

    • After configuring the settings, click SAVE. Your updates will be applied immediately to your third-party platforms.

Integration with the Snackpass POS:

Feature Walkthrough

The goal of our delivery integration is to make handling delivery orders almost operationally indistinguishable from handling your in-store orders. Orders will print out from the same printers, be displayed on the same order management tablets, and be documented and searchable on the same dashboard.

Below we will outline a few ways we help you identify your integrated delivery orders while minimizing any operational changes that your staff would have to make to manage those orders.

Orderhub (Legacy)

Orders will be displayed on the orderhub the same way Snackpass orders are displayed. However, unlike Snackpass orders:

  • There's no need to accept the order. All orders are automatically accepted on the orderhub.

  • The orders will have a 3P label, start with a two-letter initial that represents the delivery channel name, and also have Delivery in the order name.

    • UE = Ubereats

    • DD = Doordash

    • GH = Grubhub

    • FT = Fantuan

    • HP = Hungry Panda

  • Order level notes will appear on the top of the order.

Kitchen Display Screen (Legacy)

  • Similar to the orderhub, integrated delivery orders will have a 3P label, start with a two-letter initial that represents the delivery channel name, and also have Delivery in the order name. Order level notes will show on the top of the order.

Printers

  • Receipt printers and label printers will print out delivery orders in the same format as Snackpass orders, but have similar labelings with two-letter initials and a Delivery denotation. For instance:

Snackpass Partner Dashboard

  • Both live and past orders will display on the Dashboard under the Store > Orders tab in the exact same way as Snackpass orders, with the difference being that there's no way to do refunds or upcharges on our dashboard. To do so, please use the delivery channel dashboard.

  • You can filter for orders based on Snackpass vs Integration orders under both the Channel and Provider filters on the top. Checking Integration and selecting the desired channels will display sale summaries and orders below of just orders in those delivery channels.

  • We recommend you to use this data as an additional source of truth for accounting when comparing to your payouts from the delivery channels.

  • Important: Snackpass and Deliverect do NOT handle any payments related to delivery orders. All we do is shuttle information and settings back and forth between the platforms. All payments between delivery customers, delivery platforms, and your business is out of our control.

Deliverect Guardrails

  • For requests submitted by Thursday EOD, activations will go live the following Wednesday.

    • Please note that activations for Fantuan and Hungry Panda may be subject to delays due to their specific schedules.

    • Providing inaccurate information can lead to activation delays.

  • Please be aware that Virtual Stores are not supported with this integration at this time.

  • Channel-specific pricing is currently not supported. The same price will be applied across all channels.

  • Editing your menu or pricing directly on your delivery channel may result in immediate order failures. Please make all menu edits directly through Snackpass.

  • To ensure accurate tracking of Hungry Panda sales, please follow these steps:

    • Avoid The DATA - SALES - REPORT Section: Currently, this section does not reflect Hungry Panda sales correctly.

    • Use The Orders Tab: For reliable sales data, refer to the Store > Orders tab.

    • Or Check The Essentials Report: You can also find accurate sales information in the Essentials report, located under Financial in the left-side menu.

Please reach out to Support if you encounter the below:

  • Delays in updating price changes. Rarely, some channels, especially Hungry Panda, may experience delays in updating individual or bulk prices.

  • Indefinitely marked "Sold Out" modifiers might not display correctly in certain cases.

  • Label numbers might occasionally print incorrectly for Hungry Panda.

Backend Settings

Think of Deliverect as the middle person between Snackpass and your delivery channels (Ubereats, Doordash, Grubhub, etc). Snackpass does not send any in/out of stock updates directly to your delivery platforms, and your delivery platforms do not send any sales data and order updates directly back to Snackpass. Instead, all of it is mediated by Deliverect that constantly shuttles that information back and forth. This is why your Deliverect dashboard exists, and it's important to understand when to use the Snackpass system, Deliverect dashboard, and your original delivery channel dashboard.

Refunding Delivery Orders

Change prep time for Delivery Orders

[IMPORTANT] If there is an "X" under "Delivery Channel," please do NOT perform those actions or it will break your integration and cause orders to fail. Rule of thumb: after integration goes live, please try to do everything outside of your original delivery channel dashboard and tablet other than the last 4 action items.

*Note: Many of our partners set a percent based increase in price from their in-store menu for their delivery prices to offset the high commissions charged by their delivery platforms. If you do not have a storewide price increase set, then your Deliverect menu prices are essentially completely separate from your Snackpass menu prices, and you should adjust them directly on the Deliverect dashboard.. However, if you do have a storewide price increase set, then your Deliverect menu is actually constantly synced with Snackpass, and any price adjustments done on Snackpass will automatically by synced over to your delivery platforms via Deliverect with the % increase automatically factored in.
