Installation Guide | SnackTV Dongle

The SnackTV Dongle is a compact, plug-and-play device that connects directly to most standard displays. Its small footprint and easy setup make it ideal for a variety of environments, from quick service restaurants (QSRs) to full-service dining. By utilizing existing TVs or monitors, it offers a flexible and cost-effective way to enhance customer-facing spaces.

Installation Steps

1. Unbox And Prepare

A. Unpack all items from the box

Note: Confirm you have a working TV or monitor with an open HDMI port.


2. Connect the SnackTV Stick

A. Connect the Mouse USB-Dongle to the USB-A port on the left or far-right side of the SnackTV Dongle.

B. Connect the blue USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the SnackTV Dongle.

C. Connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI port on the SnackTV Dongle.

Note: If applicable, connect the Ethernet cable to the SnackTV Ethernet port. Plug the other end of the USB-C cable into the wall charger and then into a power outlet. Verify that the device is powered — LEDs should light up on the side. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to your TV or monitor (usually located on the back or side). A power strip or extension cord may be used if needed.


3. Tidy Cables

A. Organize and hide cables so they are not visible from the front of the display


4. Set TV Input

A. Change the TV input source using your remote to the HDMI port connected to the SnackTV Stick, referencing the port label to select the correct input.

Note: Some TVs have multiple HDMI ports (e.g., HDMI 1, HDMI 2). Make sure to select the same port where the SnackTV Stick is connected. If the screen stays blank, double-check that the TV is set to the correct HDMI input and that all cables are securely connected.


5. Connect To Wi-Fi

A. Click the blue button when prompted and enter your Wi-Fi credentials. If you need to open Wi-Fi from Settings, go to SnackOS Settings → Network/Wi-Fi (see the SnackOS Settings guide). Use the mouse icon for easier navigation if needed.
