As a Snackpass partner, you have the option to accept cash as a payment method for your customers. If your store processes cash transactions, you can access a Cash Report to track these transactions.
Accessing The Cash Report
To view the Cash Report on your dashboard:
Employee PINS And Cash Transactions
To ensure cash transactions are properly linked to employees, each employee must have an assigned PIN. For instructions on how to invite employees and assign PINS, refer to the Team article.
Types Of Cash Transactions
The Cash Report tracks various types of transactions, not just payments. These include:
Order Paid: A cash order confirmed via the Snackpass app.
Withdrawal: Money taken out of the cash drawer.
Deposit: Money deposited into the cash drawer (not from an order).
Tip Out: Money removed for tips.
Order Refunded: A cash order was refunded.
Open: The cash drawer was opened.
Audit: Manual adjustment of the cash drawer balance.
Session Start: A new session for the cash drawer began.
Session End: The cash drawer session ended.
Using Filters In The Cash Report
Date Filter: Located at the top of the page, the default filter is set to the last 7 days. You can customize the date range to view data for specific periods.
Granularity Filter: If your store has multiple cash drawers, you can filter the report to show data for all drawers or select a specific one. This filter won’t appear if you only have one drawer.
Cash Report Table Breakdown
The Cash Report table consists of the following columns:
Time: The date and time of the cash transaction.
Employee: The name of the employee who handled the transaction.
Reason: The type of transaction (e.g., Order Paid, Withdrawal, Refund).
Purchase ID: The ID of the cash order.
Paid In: The amount of money added to the drawer (e.g., from a cash order).
Paid Out: The amount of money taken out (e.g., Withdrawal or Refund).
Amount: The total cash generated, taking all transactions into account.
Filters On The Report Table
At the top of the table, you have three additional filters:
Employee: Filter the transactions by employee.
Reason: Filter the report by the type of transaction (e.g., Order Refund).
Columns: Customize which columns to display in the report.
The Cash Report provides valuable insights into your store's cash transactions, helping you track payments, withdrawals, deposits, and other related activities. By using the available filters, you can easily analyze and manage cash flow, ensuring transparency and accuracy in your daily operations. For optimal use, make sure employees are assigned PINs, and customize your filters to get the most relevant data for your business needs.
