How Can I Configure Smart Receipt For My Store?

Smart Receipt is automatically activated for all stores, so that every customer benefits from this enhanced receipt experience. However, there are several customizable options to help you maximize this feature. Let's explore how you can make the most of it:

Smart Receipt Customer Message

You can personalize a message that will be shown on the digital receipt sent to customers after they place their order. This allows you to make important announcements directly to them like to promote new menu items, promotions, store events, marketing messages, or share the bathroom password. To add a Smart Receipt Customer Message:

  1. Log in to your Snackpass dashboard.

  2. From the left-side menu, navigate to SETTINGS > FRONT OF HOUSE > ALL ORDERS.

  3. Locate the RECEIPT section at the top of the page.

  4. Customize the Smart Receipt Customer Message, keeping in mind that it can be up to 275 characters, including emojis.

  5. Once you’ve entered this information, click the Submit button in the bottom right corner to save your changes.

External Review URL

You can include an external review URL (such as Yelp or Google) to encourage customers to rate their experience. To set this up, simply follow the next steps:

  1. Log in to your Snackpass dashboard.

  2. From the left-side menu, navigate to SETTINGS > FRONT OF HOUSE > ALL ORDERS.

  3. Locate the RECEIPT section at the top of the page.

  4. Add an External Review URL.

  5. Once you’ve entered this information, click the Submit button in the bottom right corner to save your changes.

Digital Receipt Image and Brand Color

You can also add an image to your receipt and update your store color for a more personalized touch. To do this, follow these simple steps:

  1. Log in to your Snackpass dashboard.

  2. In the left-side menu, navigate to SETTINGS > FRONT OF HOUSE > BRAND AND APPEARANCE.

  3. Add or update your brand color, selecting from our suggested options or adding a hex color code to match your exact branding!

  4. Scroll down to the Digital Receipt Image section.

  5. Upload your desired image, ensuring it follows the recommended aspect ratio of 5:3 (width to height).

  6. After uploading, click the Submit button in the bottom right corner to save your changes.

Customer Feedback

To review customer feedback and chats from the smart receipt, navigate to Marketing -> Conversations.

Customer Experience

Now that we've gone over how to configure the Smart Receipt, le'’s examine what customers will experience. Every customer that provides their phone number while ordering on the register, kiosk, or on online ordering, will be texted the smart receipt. Please note that customers who skip entering their number, will not be texted a receipt.

Rating Orders

Customers will have the opportunity to rate their order using a simple two-thumb system—one thumb up and one thumb down. After selecting their option, they can share additional feedback by clicking the Share Feedback button, which will direct them to a message interface where they can communicate their thoughts directly to you.




Both their rating and feedback will be accessible on your dashboard under MARKETING > CONVERSATIONS.

Itemized Receipt

Customers will also receive a detailed itemized receipt of their order.

Direct Chat

Additionally, customers can chat directly with you if they have any questions or concerns. All messages will appear in your dashboard under MARKETING > CONVERSATIONS for easy access and management.
