Payout Schedules

Everything you need to know about getting paid: how payout schedules work, when to expect deposits, how weekends affect timing, and how to make changes anytime.

Payout Schedules

Snackpass offers two payout schedule options:

  • Daily

  • Weekly

When you join Snackpass, your default payout schedule is set to Daily. You can change your payout schedule at any time by going to:

Settings > Account & Tax > Payout Schedule

Under Schedule Management, select your preferred schedule and click Submit to save your changes.

Understanding Settlement Vs Payout

Before diving into how payout schedules work, it helps to understand two key concepts: settlement and payout.
These are separate steps, and the difference explains why funds don't appear in your bank account the moment a customer pays.

Settlement is the process by which a completed transaction is verified, finalized, and funds become available in Snackpass's system. When a customer pays, the funds start in a pending state, they haven't been confirmed or cleared yet. Once the payment network (card networks, banks, etc.) verifies the transaction, the funds settle and become available for payout. Settlement timing varies depending on the payment method used and other factors.

Payout is the transfer of those settled, available funds from Snackpass into your bank account via ACH (Automated Clearing House). A payout can only happen after settlement is complete, you can't be paid out funds that haven't settled yet.

Think of it this way:

Customer pays → funds are pending → funds settle (become available) → funds are paid out to your bank

This two-step process is why there's a gap between when a sale happens and when money hits your account.

What Affects Settlement Timing?

  • Payment Method: Card payments typically settle in 2 business days. Other payment methods may take longer.

  • Weekends And Holidays: Settlement only processes on business days.

  • Bank Processing: Once a payout is initiated, your bank's own processing adds additional time.

What's In A Payout?

A single payout may include funds from transactions that settled across different sales dates. Some sales settle faster, others slower. It may also include refunds, adjustments, fees, or other balance changes from previous sales periods. To see the full breakdown, download the payout report from your partner dashboard under DATA > SALES > PAYOUTS.

Do My Sales Report And Payout Report Need To Match?

Not necessarily, and that's expected. Your Sales Report covers fixed 24-hour periods, while automatic payouts are triggered as funds settle, which doesn't always align to a clean 24-hour window. Because of this, the two reports may not match, and that's normal.

Your Sales Report is still a great tool for tracking overall sales trends and broader business reporting. However, for payout reconciliation specifically, you should rely on your Payout Report.

To verify your payout is correct, you can use the accounting formula outlined in our Payouts Calculation article. When the result of that formula matches both the Net Payout and the Payout Amount shown in your report, your payout is accurate.

If the numbers don't add up after going through the formula, please reach out to our partner support team for assistance.

How Payouts Work

Snackpass payouts are processed automatically once transactions have settled. Settlement timing depends on the payment method used. Once funds are settled, they are paid out according to your selected payout schedule.

Actual deposit timing may vary depending on:

  • Your bank

  • The payment method used

  • Bank processing timelines

In most cases, partners currently see payouts arrive approximately 2 business days after the transaction date (T+2). For example, Monday sales typically deposit on Wednesday. However, timing can vary.

Daily Payouts

With Daily payouts:

  • Each payout is triggered every 24 hours and includes whichever funds have settled during that period. Exact timing may vary slightly.

  • Payouts are processed on business days (Monday through Friday).

In most cases, daily payout partners receive funds around 2 business days after the transaction date, though timing may vary depending on settlement and banking timelines.

Weekend Sales

Transactions from Friday through Sunday are processed on business days. Because payouts are processed on business days only, weekend sales may deposit after the next business day, depending on settlement timing.

Weekly Payouts

With Weekly payouts:

  • Each payout covers the previous Monday through Sunday.

  • Payouts are processed on business days.

  • You can choose your preferred day of the week to receive your payout.

Funds typically arrive within a few business days after processing, depending on your bank and settlement timing.

Instant Payouts (Coming Soon)

Snackpass is working on bringing Instant Payouts to partners, a feature that will let you access your settled funds immediately, rather than waiting for the standard payout schedule.

How It Will Work:

Standard payouts require waiting for both settlement (funds moving from pending to available) and then the payout cycle. Instant Payouts bypass the payout schedule step, once your funds have settled and are available, you'll be able to request an immediate transfer to your bank account.

Key Things To Know:

  • Instant Payouts will be available on demand, you initiate them when you need funds quickly, rather than waiting for your next scheduled payout.

  • They are separate from your regular payout schedule. Your automatic daily or weekly payouts will continue as normal.

  • Eligibility requirements and fees will apply. More details will be shared when this feature launches.

  • Instant Payouts only move settled funds, the settlement step still occurs first. This feature speeds up the payout transfer, not the settlement process itself.

This feature is in development. Stay tuned for updates from the Snackpass team.

Expedited Payouts (Discontinued)

Snackpass's expedited payout option is being discontinued as part of our payout system upgrade. Once your account is transitioned to automatic payouts, expedited payouts will no longer be available.
